Sophia Ngo graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor in computer information systems. In 2013, she moved to the Silicon Valley and started to learn programming on her own. She then got accepted into San Jose State University and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in software engineering. She is now working on her own project to create programs, which could be implemented in Vietnam with the mission of bringing more young girls into tech.
“Not only was it my childhood dream that I once lost, but becoming an engineer will also be the dream that I want for other Vietnamese girls. I want to achieve that dream, set the model and help other young girls achieve it too.”
